Matt Kwasniewski-Kelvin, the guitarist and one of the founding members of Black Midi, has died at the age of 26. His family confirmed his death on January 12 in a statement shared alongside the band’s label, Rough Trade.
Until stepping away from touring in 2021, Kwasniewski-Kelvin played a crucial role in shaping the band’s distinctive and experimental sound.
